전북 정읍에서 60년에 한번 핀다는 대나무 꽃이 발견되었다는 뉴스가 보도되었다. 길게는 120년에 한 번 꽃이 핀다는 얘기가 있을 정도로 보기 힘든 대나무 꽃은 이 꽃을 보면 행운이 찾아온다는 이야기가 있어 전봉준유적지 방문시 들러보았다. 대나무 꽃은 정읍 1번 국도변에 위치하고 있어 정확한 주소가 없으므로 찾는데 약간 애를 먹었지만 도로변에 있어 잘 보이는 곳에 위치하고 있었다.
