Hanwha Aqua planet(Ilsan)_ 한화 아쿠아 플라넷(일산)

 There are many places in Korea that have excellent scenery, but there are places where you can feel the fun of the city. Ilsan-gu, Goyang City is also called Ilsan New City and it is a planned city developed in early 1990s. Locations that have been naturally established from the past are often full of amiable alleys and charming sights, but with limited development, poor road conditions and often old buildings and facilities. However, in the case of the new city, since it was constructed according to the urban plan from the beginning in the empty land, it is possible to see a straight road and a relatively clean city.  If you visit the new city of Ilsan, you will see a well-woven city on a wide road. 

 Aqua Planet is one of the attractions in Ilsan city center, and a kind of large aquarium where you can see various kind of aquatic creatures.

한국에는 뛰어난 경치를 보여주는 많은 곳들도 있지만 도시의 재미를 느낄 수 있는 장소들도 있다. 고양시 일산구는 일산 신도시라고도 불리며 1990년초 개발된 계획도시이다. 예전부터 자연스럽게 자리 잡힌 지역들은 정감 있는 골목길과 아기자기한 볼거리가 많이 있지만 개발이 제한적이라 도로 상태가 안 좋고 낡은 건물 및 시설들을 종종 볼 수 있다. 하지만 신도시의 경우 빈 땅에 처음부터 도시계획에 따라 건설된 곳이기에 반듯한 도로와 상대적으로 깨끗한 도시의 모습을 볼 수 있다. 

 일산 신도시에 가 보시면 넓은 도로에 잘 짜여진 도시의 모습을 볼 수 있을 것이다. 아쿠아 플라넷은 일산 도심안의 볼거리 중 하나로서 수중생물들을 관람할 수 있는 대형 아쿠아리움이라 보시면 되겠다. 

Hanwha Aqua Planet Ilsan is located about 45 minutes by car from Seoul.

  한화 아쿠아 플라넷 일산점은 서울에서 승용차로 약 45분 거리에 위치한다.

 There is a large parking lot, you don’t need to worry about parking.

 넓은 주차장이 있어 주차는 걱정하지 않아도 될 것 같다. 

There are not many buildings around, and the aqua planet building is so big it would not be hard to find.

 

 주변에 건물들이 많지 않고 아쿠아 플라넷 건물이 워낙 커서 찾는데 어려움은 없을 것이다.

When you enter the room, there is a wide hall where you buy tickets. Admission fee is 27,000 won for adults, 24,000 won for teenagers, 22,000 won for children and under 36 months for free. Please note that you may also be able to purchase a discount voucher on your mobile.

 실내에 들어서면 넓은 홀이 있고 이곳에서 입장권을 구매한다. 입장료는 어른 27,000원, 청소년 24,000원, 어린이 22,000원, 36개월 미만은 무료이다. 모바일에서 찾아보면 할인권을 구매할 수도 있음을 참고하시기 바란다. 

 After purchasing the ticket, you can take the escalator beside and go upstairs to the entrance of Aquarium.

 입장권 구매 후 옆에 있는 에스컬레이터를 타고 2층으로 올라가면 입구로 갈 수 있다.

The first visible sea friend is the sea horse. It is always a strange look. It seems like a small dragon.

 처음으로 보이는 바다 친구는 해마이다. 언제 봐도 신기한 모습이다. 작은 용이라고 해야 하나.

The jellyfish is proud of its mysterious appearance which is illuminated by lighting.

 해파리가 신비한 조명에 비쳐 영롱한 모습을 자랑한다.

After passing through the jellyfish tunnels and the caves below, you can see landscape in the sea.

 해파리 터널을 지나 아래와 같은 동굴을 통과하면 바다 속 풍경이 펼쳐진다. 

The performances were regularly held in front of the large aquarium, and children would like to see this.

 대형수족관 앞에서는 정기적으로 공연을 하는데 아이들이 보면 좋아할 것 같다.  

If you see large fish which seems to live in big ocean, sharks, stingrays, and colorful fish swimming in a large aquarium, you will fall into the illusion that you are in the sea.

 큰 바다에 살 것 같은 큰 물고기, 상어, 가오리, 형형 색색의 물고기들이 대형 수족관을 유유히 헤엄치는 것을 보면 바다속에 있는 것 같은 착각에 빠지게 된다.

When I climb up the stairs next to the large aquarium, there is a place to touch the fishes. There is also Dr. Fish, and when I put hands into the water, these fish poke my hands and that feeling is novel.

 대형 수족관 옆으로 난 계단을 따라 올라가면 물고기들을 만져볼 수 있는 공간이 있다. 닥터피쉬도 있어 손을 넣으면 콕콕 찌르는 느낌이 색다르다. 

Walking a little further, you will be able to see animals living in water, such as penguins and seals. The movement is awkward outside the water, but once they get into the water, you will be surprised to see completely different movements.

 앞으로 좀 더 가면 펭귄, 물개 등 물에서 서식하는 동물들을 만나볼 수 있다. 물 밖에서는 움직임이 어색하지만 일단 물속에 들어가면 전혀 다른 움직임을 보여 놀라울 따름이다.

 Go up the stairs to the rooftop and you will see a small animal farm. Small animals such as goose, rabbit, goat, sheep live in there. It is also possible to give food, so it is excellent place for children to do work-study.

 옥상으로 올라가는 계단을 따라 가면 작은 동물농장이 펼쳐진다. 거위, 토끼, 염소, 양 등 작은 동물들이 살고있다. 먹이를 줄 수 도 있어 아이들의 체험학습 공간으로 안성마춤이다.

A turtle resting in the corner of the farm is cute. If you do not watch carefully, you may pass.

 농장 구석에 쉬고있는 거북이가 귀엽다. 유심히 보지 않으면 지나칠 수도 있겠다.

If you go down the stairs again, you can see fish not living in the sea but living in river. As you can see below, there are fish of big size.

 다시 계단을 내려와 이동하면 이제 바다가 아니라 민물에 사는 물고기들을 만나볼 수 있다. 아래 보시는 것처럼 엄청난 크기의 물고기도 있고.

Small fish are also seen.

 작은 물고기들도 보인다.

The size of the aquarium is various. There are also small things like below.

 수족관의 크기가 제 각각이다. 아래와 같이 자그마한 것들도 있다.

 Piranha is notorious as a cannibal fish. It is decorated with a skeleton to produce an eerie atmosphere.

 식인 물고기로 악명높은 피라니아. 으스스한 분위기 연출을 위해 해골 장식이 되어 있다.

There is also an aquarium with this unique atmosphere.

 이런 특이한 분위기의 수족관도 있다.

 If you go a little further, you will get a space to feed the birds below. When children are holding prey, little birds sitting on their hands and eating prey are cute.

 조금 더 가면 아래와 같이 새 먹이를 줄 수 있는 공간이 나온다. 아이들이 먹이를 들고 있으면 자그마한 새들이 손위에 앉아 먹이를 먹는 모습이 귀엽다.

When you leave the cage, a large space spreads out. The feeling of being in a jungle is exotic. Artificial waterfalls are also visible.

 새장을 나서면 넓은 공간이 펼쳐진다. 어느 밀림속에 와 있는 느낌이 이국적이다. 인공폭포도 보인다.

 사막에 살 것같은 줄무늬 뱀.

There is a red parrot in the center and it seemed a model because it did not move. But it was a real one. 

가운데 빨간 앵무새도 있는데 안 움직여서 모형인줄 알았더니 진짜다.

This is the end of the aquarium. If you go out through the passage below, you can go to another experience center of Aqua Planet.

 여기까지 보면 수족관 관람은 끝이 난다 아래의 통로로 나가면 아쿠아플라넷의 다른 체험관으로 갈 수 있다.

There is also a place called Alive Star which shows the figures which are almost similar to the real stars that can be seen in the movie as below,

 아래와 같이 영화에서 볼 수 있는 스타들의 실물과 거의 흡사한 피규어들을 전시해 놓은 얼라이브 스타라는 곳도 있고,

There is a brick planet that I have visited. I went there because my baby likes to play with blocks, but I do not recommend visits because there are not many kinds of blocks and size of place are smaller than my expectation.

 필자가 들러 보았던 브릭 플라넷도 있다. 아이가 블럭 만드는 것을 좋아해서 가 보았는데 블럭의 종류도 많지 않고 생각보다 규모도 작아서 방문을 추천하지는 않는다.

Aqua Planet is a small zoo located in the city center. It was not only an aquarium but a fun place to observe and experience various creatures in a small farm, a cage, and a zoo where you can feel the feeling of coming to the jungle. If you plan to visit Ilsan, I recommend to stop by.  There is large park in front of aqua planet, and we can take a walk for a while. The restaurant on the inside is crowded on the weekend and it is not tasty, so it would be nice to eat at other place before you visit.

아쿠아 플라넷은 도심속에 위치한 작은 동물원이라 보시면 될 것 같다. 수족관만 있는 것이 아니라 작은 농장, 새장, 밀림에 온 것 같은 동물원까지 다양한 생물을 관찰하고 체험해 볼 수 있는 즐거운 공간이었다. 일산에 방문하실 계획이 있으시면 꼭 들러 보실 것을 추천한다.

 아쿠아 플라넷 앞에는 넓은 공원도 있어 잠시 산책도 할 수 있다. 내부의 음식점은 주말에 붐비고 맛이 썩 좋은 편은 아니라고 하니 방문 시 다른 곳에서 식사를 하고 가시는 것도 좋을 것 같다.
