21~27. Seven sages of the Bamboo Grove_Won In Jae in Incheon(죽림칠현_인천 원인재)

 Songdo International City is one of the Incheon Free Economic Zone that Incheon is promoting as a national project for several years. Almost all the buildings were built within 10 years, and since the initial development, the buildings were built by careful planning, so the whole city looks new and harmonious.

 Schools and companies all over the world are coming into the city and it is currently under development to be an international city which have about 250,000 people.

 Won In Jae is the shrine to honor Lee Heo Gyeom who is the founder of Incheon Lee clan and the ancestor of Lee In-ro, one of the Seven sages of the Bamboo Grove. It is located in the middle of this new city.

송도국제도시는 인천에서 수년전부터 국가사업으로 추진하는 인천경제자유구역중 하나이다. 거의 모든 건물들이 10년 이내에 새로 지어진 것 들이고 최초 개발당시부터 치밀한 계획에 의해 건물들이 지어졌기 때문에 전체적인 도시의 모습이 새롭고 또 조화롭다. 

 전 세계의 학교, 기업들이 속속 이 도시로 들어오고 있으며 약 25만명의 국제도시를 목표로 현재도 한창 개발중이다.

죽림칠현의 한 사람인 이인로의 조상, 인천이씨의 시조 이허겸을 모신 사당 원인재는 이런 신도시의 한 복판에 위치하고 있다.

Won In Jae is located in Songdo, Incheon and takes about one hour by car from Seoul.

원인재는 인천 송도에 있으며 서울에서 승용차로 약 1시간 정도 걸린다.

 There is no parking lot in front of the shrine so I parked on the roadside of the Namdong Industrial Complex opposite the Seungki River and went to Won In Jae. It is recommended using subway because you can come here from the exit 1 of Incheon Subway Line 1 directly.

사당 앞에 주차장이 없어 인접한 승기천 건너편 남동공단의 갓길에 주차를 하고 원인재로 이동했다. 인천지하철 1호선 원인재역 1번출구로 나와 직진하면 바로 올 수 있으니 지하철로 오는 것을 추천한다.

 The literature monument of Lee In Ro is displayed in front of Won In Jae. The poem he wrote in his lifetime is written on the monument.

원인재 앞 이인로 선생 문학비가 보인다. 생전에 지은 시가 비석에 적혀 있다.

 Appearance of the shrine is large and grand. It was built in the Shinji village of Yeonsu-dong in the early 19th century. However, in 1994, it was demolished due to development of residential land and restored and enlarged in present place. Incheon Lee clan is a descendant of Kim Soo Ro, a King of Garak dynasty and founder of clan was dispatched to the Tang Dynasty and protected Emperor Hyunjong from rebellion of An Lushan. It was said that he had received the Emperor's family name and it is origin of this clan. Incheon Lee clan has accomplished many great achievements in the Goryeo dynasty rather than Joseon. This building has been built by Incheon Lee clan's donation and subsidy of Incheon city.

 밖에서 본 원인재의 모습. 크고 웅장한 건물이 보기 좋다. 19세기 초에 연수동 신지마을에 건립되었으나 1994년 택지개발로 해체되면서 현재의 장소에 복원 및 증축되었다. 인천이씨는 가락국 김수로왕의 후예로 당나라에서 안녹산의 난이 일어나자 파견되어 당 현종을 호위하게 되고 그 공로로 황제의 성인 이씨 성을 받았다고 전해진다. 조선보다는 고려시대에 큰일을 많이 한 집안으로서 이 건물은 인천이씨 일족의 성금과 인천시의 보조금으로 이루어 졌다고 한다.   

 These are the panoramas inside of Won In Jae. The shape of the well-built hanok is wonderful.

 Incheon Lee's founder, Heo - gyeom' s tomb is located on one side of Won In Jae and descendants used to do worship.

원인재 한 편에는 인천이씨의 시조 이허겸의 묘역이 있으며 후손들이 종종 찾아와 참배를 하곤 한다.

 This place is attractive to make the strange incompatibility with modern buildings. However, it is not recommended for foreign tourists because it is inconvenient for parking and sometimes the door is closed because Incheon Lee clan is managing the cultural assets instead of government. I think it would be better for you to stop by here by Incheon subway after touring the beautiful buildings, parks and shopping centers of Songdo.

현대식 건물들과 대비되는 묘한 부조화가 매력적인 이 장소는 외국인 관광객의 방문을 추천하지 않는다. 이유는 주차장이 없어 인접한 승기천 건너편에 위치한 공단 옆 갓길에 주차를 하고 가야 하며 국가가 아닌 인천이씨 문중에서 문화재를 관리하고 있기 때문에 간혹 문이 닫혀있는 경우가 있다.  송도의 멋진 건물들과 공원 그리고 쇼핑센터를 관광 후 인천지하철 원인재역에서 내려 걸어서 잠깐 들리는 정도면 좋을 것 같다.
