14. Hyecho_Gyerim(Birth place)_Gyeongju(경주 계림 혜초 출생지)

 I went to Gyerim, one of the most historic sites in Gyeongju. This place is located between Cheomseongdae and Wolseong, and it has a legend that Kim Al-ji, progenitor of Gyeongju Kim clan, was born in this place. It is also the birthplace of Hyecho, one of the 100 great men.

 경주의 가장 유서 깊은 곳 중의 하나인 계림에 가 보았다. 이 곳은 첨성대와 월성 사이에 있으며 경주 김씨의 시조 김알지가 태어났다는 전설이 있는 장소이다. 100명의 위인들 중 하나인 혜초의 탄생지 이기도 하다. 우리나라 최초의 여행기를 쓴 혜초에 대한 자세한 내용은 자료실을 참고하시기 바란다.(https://gbbrake.tistory.com/manage/post/14)

Gyerim is located near Daereungwon, Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk province and takes about 4 hours by car from Seoul.

계림은 경상북도 경주시 대릉원 일대에 있으며 서울에서 승용차로 약 4시간 걸린다.

 If you move along the forest road by bicycle from the royal tomb of king Naemul, you can arrive at Gyerim. The trees in the forest are auspicious.

 

 내물왕릉에서 자전거로 숲길을 따라 이동하면 계림이 나오는데 이동중에 있는 숲들이 모두 계림의 일부로 보면 될 것 같다.

숲의 나무들이 예사롭지 않다.

 In the forest of Gyerim, I feel refreshed like getting a clear aura of Gyeongju. 

 Gyerim is located between the tomb of king Naemul and Wolseong district, so it is good to refer to it when planning a travel route.

 계림 숲에 들어와 있으니 경주의 맑은 기운을 받고 있는 것 같아 기분이 상쾌하다. 계림은 내물왕릉과 월성지구 사이에 위치하고 있어 여행경로를 계획할 때 참고하면 좋을 것 같다.
