4. Bak Hyeokgeose(박혁거세)_Najeong well_Gyeongju(경주 나정)

In Korean history, the period of the Three Kingdoms is considered the first period to ascertain historical facts because substantial record of that time exists.

 Thus, it comes as a friendly feeling compared to the previous countries (Goseon, Buyeo, etc.), and you can see many historical relics.
 Since Gyeongju was the capital city of Silla ,one of the three kingdoms, there are many relics in the city.

Najeong which is planned to visit this time is closed to the Daerungwon, Gyeongju, and is related to Bak Hyeokgeose, the founder of Silla. Gyeongju is located far from Seoul, where it takes more than 3 hours by car. However, I strongly recommend you visit Silla, one of the three ancient kingdoms, as it has numerous relics and historic site.

한국역사에서는 삼국시대가 실질적이 기록이 존재하여 역사적 사실을 확인할 수 있는 최초의 시기라고 본다.

하여 그 이전에 존재했던 나라(고조선, 부여 등)들에 비해 친근한 느낌으로 다가오는 것이며 많은 역사적 유물들을 볼 수 있을 것이다.

경주는 삼국중 하나인 신라의 도읍이었기 때문에 많은 신라의 유물들이 경주에 존재한다.

이번에 볼 나정은 경주 대릉원에서 약간 떨어진 곳에 위치해 있으며 신라를 건국한 인물인 박혁거세와 관련된 장소이다. 박혁거세는 이곳에서 태어났다고 하는 전설이 있는데 자세한 내용은 자료실을 참고하길 바란다.(http://gbbrake.tistory.com/8?category=717030)

경주는 서울에서 차로 3시간 이상 소요되는 먼 곳에 위치한다. 하지만 고대 삼국의 하나인 신라의 도읍지로서 수많은 유물을 보유하고 있기에 꼭 들러보실 것을 추천한다.

 

I borrowed a bicycle from Daerungwon in the first place. There are many tourist attractions nearby Daerungwon and well-made bicycle roads are prepared in Gyeongju. So I think bicycle tour is one of the good option to travel in this city. 

There are various types of bicycles, from regular bicycles to electric bikes, so you can choose you want to use.

일단 대릉원에서 자전거를 빌렸다. 경주는 많은 관광지가 대릉원을 중심으로 모여있으며 자전거로 여행하기 좋게 도로가 만들어져 있다.

하여 자전거로 여행해 보는 것도 추천한다. 일반 자전거부터 전기자전거까지 다양한 종류의 자전거가 준비되어 있으니 취향에 맞게 골라탈 수 있다. 

Najeong is about 3 km away from Daereungwon and can be reached within 15 minutes by bicycle. It seems this place was very luxuriously maintained because it was the birthplace of the founding fathers in the Silla period. However, since many years have passed, the surrounding area is a bit lonely.

나정은 대릉원에서 약 3Km 정도 떨어져 있으며 자전거로 15분 이내 도착 가능하다. 신라시대에는 건국시조의 탄생지여서 매우 호화롭게 정비되었을 테지만 많은 세월이 흐른 지금 주변은 한가롭다 못해 조금 쓸쓸한 분위기이다.

It is clear that this site was very important area because there were a large number of bronze ware, early Iron Age artifacts and tools for memorial ceremony during 4 times excavation from 2002 to 2005.

Now, only this vacant ground shows nothing is permanent silently.

이 곳은 2002년부터 2005년에 4차례에 걸쳐 발굴조사가 이루어졌으며 많은 양의 청동기 및 초기 철기 시대 유물과 제기등이 발견되었다고 하는 것을 보니 상당히 중요한 지역이었음이 분명하다.

지금은 이렇게 빈 터만 남아 세월의 무상함을 묵묵히 보여주고 있다.

I visited on April so could see the spring flowers. Did this flower give the fragrant spring of the Seorabeol as present 2,000 years ago?

필자는 4월에 방문하여 봄꽃을 볼 수 있었다. 이 꽃은 2천년 전에도 피어 사람들에게 향기로운 서라벌의 봄을 선물했을까...
