Bexco(Busan MotorShow, Busan)_ 벡스코(부산 모터쇼)

 Just as the new city was developed in Seoul Gyeonggi-do, a new town centered on Haeundae City was developed in Haeundae-gu, Busan in 1990. Since 2000's Centum City has moved in, it has become current appearance with clean and bright. Although Busan's current center is 'Seo-myeon' and almost all the things related business are done in this place, but Haeundae-gu has the most modernized city area except Seoul including the new tourist complex and high-tech business.

 BEXCO is one of the important facilities of Haeundae, which opened in 2001 as an international exhibition hall, where international events such as the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup draw, the 2005 APEC Summit and the 2014 ASEAN Special Summit are held. In 2018, the Busan Motor Show was held here in BEXCO so I visited there.

 서울경기지역에 신도시가 개발되었던 것처럼 부산에도 해운대구 지역에 1990년경부터 해운대 신시가지라는 명칭으로 주거 중심의 신도시가 개발되었으며 2000년대 센텀시티가 입주하면서 깨끗하고 화려한 현재의 모습을 갖추게 되었다. 부산의 현재 중심지는 서면 일대이며 무역업이 발달한 부산의 거의 모든 비즈니스 관련 업무는 서면에서 이루어지고 있으나 해운대구는 새로운 관광단지 및 첨단비즈니스 등으로 서울을 제외한 전국에서 가장 현대화된 시가지를 갖추게 되었다. 

 벡스코는 2001년에 개장한 국제전시장으로서 2002년 한일월드컵 본선 조 추첨, 2005년 APEC정상회의 및 2014년 한-아세안 특별정상회의 등 국제적으로 중요한 행사들이 열리는 해운대의 중요 시설 중 하나이다. 2018년에 부산모터쇼가 이곳 벡스코에서 개최되어 관람해 보았다.   

 BEXCO is located in Haeundae-gu, Busan, and takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes by car from Seoul.

 벡스코는 부산광역시 해운대구에 위치하며 서울에서 승용차로 약 4시간 30분 정도 걸린다.

 You can go to BEXCO from BEXCO or Centum City Station of Busan Subway Line 2 and there is a large parking lot in BEXCO so using car is also convenient. During the event, there is not enough parking space, so the organizer will guide you to use the nearby parking lot.

 부산지하철 2호선 벡스코역이나 센텀시티역에서 갈 수 있으며 벡스코 내에도 넓은 주차장이 있어 차량이용도 편리하다. 행사기간에는 주차공간이 부족하여 인근 주차장을 이용할 수 있도록 안내도 해 준다. 

 There are hanging banners on the way to the exhibition hall to inform that it is the International Motor Show. In Korea, the International Motor Show is held every year, alternating between Seoul and Busan. It was held in Seoul in 2017 and Busan in 2018.

 전시장 가는 길목에 국제모터쇼 기간임을 알리는 현수막이 곳곳에 걸려있다. 한국에서는 매년 국제모터쇼를 개최하고 있는데 서울과 부산에서 번갈아 열린다. 2017년에는 서울에서 열렸고 2018년은 부산 차례다.

 In 2018, the Busan International Motor Show said that 620,000 people visited here. This day was also crowded with many people in the exhibition hall.

 2018년 부산국제모터쇼는 62만명이 방문을 했다고 한다. 이 날도 전시장에는 많은 사람들로 북적였다.

 Korea is the 5th largest automobile industry in the world, and the number of parts suppliers export to overseas automobile brands are significant. It is one of the few countries where vehicle production is possible with 100% domestic parts.

 한국은 세계 5위 규모의 자동차 산업을 가지고 있는 나라이며 해외 자동차 브랜드에 수출하는 부품업체의 수도 상당하다. 국내의 부품회사가 만드는 부품으로 100% 자동차 생산이 가능한 몇 안되는 나라중의 하나이기도 하다.

 The automobile show is composed of 5 domestic and 10 overseas auto brands and a showroom to display future cars.

 이번 모터쇼는 국내 5개, 해외 10여개 완성차 브랜드의 차량을 전시하고 미래 자동차의 모습을 그려볼 수 있도록 전시장을 구성했다고 한다.

 European-style minibuses were also on display. In Korea, smaller vans are mainly used, but nowadays, cars like these are seen on the road.

 유럽 스타일의 미니 버스도 전시되어 있었다. 한국에는 이보다 작은 승합차가 주로 이용되나 요즘에는 이런 모습의 차량들이 길에서 간간히 보인다.

 There is also a lounge in the middle so you can have a drink. There were events that provided free beverage coupons from some automobile brands when the mission required by the smartphone app was achieved.

 중간에 라운지도 있어 음료를 마실 수도 있다. 완성차 브랜드마다 스마트폰 앱으로 요구하는 미션을 달성하면 무료로 음료를 제공하는 이벤트도 있었다.

 It is said that demand for cars will shift to SUVs in the future. These days, it seems that the fact that each auto maker releases SUVs of various sizes and types is related to this trend.

 향후 자동차의 수요가 SUV로 이동한다고 한다. 요즈음 각 완성차 브랜드마다 다양한 크기 및 종류의 SUV를 출시하고 있는 것이 이와 무관하지 않아 보인다.

 It is a Hyundai starex in limousine form.

 Koreans are interested in this type of vehicle as the travel culture develops.

 한국도 여행문화가 발달하면서 이런 형태의 차량에 관심이 참 많다.

 Chevrolet displayed an electric car bolt. Although it is not often seen on the road due to a little of production, a car with this type of electric engine will replace an internal combustion engine in the near future.

 쉐보레에서 출시한 전기차 볼트도 있다. 비록 몇 대 생산을 안 해 도로에서 자주 볼 수는 없지만 이런 형태의 전기엔진을 장착한 자동차가 가까운 시일에 내연기관 자동차를 대체할 것이라고 한다.

 Colorado, Chevrolet pickup truck. It will be introduced in Korea in 2019. The domestic pickup truck market is growing steadily due to the proliferation of camping culture, and it is good news for consumers to have one additional option to select except SsangYong Motor’s one which monopolizes pickup truck market.

 쉐보레 픽업트럭 콜로라도. 2019년에 국내 출시 예정이란다. 국내 픽업트럭시장은 캠핑문화의 확산으로 점점 증가하고 있으며 쌍용자동차가 독점하고 있는 픽업트럭시장의 선택지가 하나 더 추가되니 소비자로서는 반가운 소식이다.

 Renault Samsung Motors introduced a compact electric car called Twizy. It has a very small body and allow 2 people in front and back. It is possible to travel up to 80km. This car, which has clear pros and cons, is likely to be suitable for short distance travel.

 르노삼성 자동차는 초소형 전기차 트위지를 선보였다. 자동차라고 하기에 아주 작은 차체에 앞 뒤로 2명 탈수 있다. 최대 80Km까지 주행이 가능하다고 한다. 장단점이 분명한 이 차는 근거리 이동에 적합할 것 같다.

 I also took a limousine bus and it was made like an airplane seat. Space between front and rear seat is also enough so it could relieve a lot of fatigue from traveling long distances.

 리무진 버스도 타봤는데 항공기 좌석같이 만들어져 있고 앞좌석과의 거리도 여유가 있어 장거리 이동에 피로를 상당히 덜어줄 수 있을 거란 생각이 들었다.

 Mercedes exhibited the cars they had built since the establishment with the theme of history of cars. The contents of the exhibition were abundant and it was a space that people with a perfume in a classical car would like.

 벤츠는 자동차의 역사라는 주제로 자신들이 설립당시부터 만들었던 차들을 전시했다. 전시 내용이 풍부했으며 클래식카에 향수를 가지고 있는 사람들이 좋아할 만한 공간이었다.

 I applied for a Mercedes event and received a free drink. I looked down to the exhibition hall from lounge for relax and there were so many people.

 벤츠의 이벤트에 응모하여 음료를 무료로 제공받았다. 아픈 다리도 쉴 겸 라운지에서 전시장을 내려다보니 사람들이 참 많았다.

 BMW also showed an electric car. There is no exterior difference from a internal combustion engine car being sold currently, but you can see by looking at the battery charging cable next to it.

 BMW에서도 전기차를 선보였다. 겉보기에는 판매중인 내연기관 자동차와 다를 것이 없지만 옆의 배터리 충전 케이블을 보면 알 수 있다.

 It is highly likely that you will not be able to see the motor show when you visit because this event is held in a specific period. However, when you visit Busan, check the schedule of BEXCO events and recommend visiting if the themes of event are what you want to see. Perhaps it will be one of the major events held in Korea.

 특정기간에 전시하는 행사라 방문하실 때 모터쇼를 보지 못할 확률이 높지만 부산에 방문하실 때 벡스코의 행사일정을 확인하시고 관심이 가는 주제를 전시한다면 꼭 방문해 보실 것을 추천 드린다. 아마도 국내에서 개최하는 주요 행사들 중 하나일 테니 말이다.
