Viking's Wharf(Jamsil)_바이킹스 워프(잠실)

 Jamsil is the most thriving area in the east of Seoul. There are many popular attractions including Jamsil Sports Complex (where 88 Seoul Olympic Games were held), Olympic Park and Lotte World which is the first indoor theme park in Korea. The Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Korea recently completed, is a landmark that can be seen from afar.

  I visited the building because there was a fine seafood buffet restaurant inside. Vikings Wharf is a lobster specialty buffet restaurant. If King Lobster, which I visited last time, presented Korean course dishes, this is a buffet restaurant where you can taste fresh food including seafood, mainly steamed lobster.

 잠실은 서울 동쪽에서 가장 번화한 지역이다. 88서울올림픽이 열렸던 잠실 종합운동장, 올림픽 공원, 한국 최초의 실내 테마파크인 롯데월드 등 볼거리가 참 많다. 얼마전 완공된 한국에서 제일 높은 빌딩인 롯데월드타워는 멀리서도 보이는 랜드마크이다. 

 이 안에 고급 해산물 부페 음식점이 있다고 해서 방문해 보았다. 바이킹스 워프라는 랍스터 전문 부페식당이다. 지난번 킹 랍스터는 한국식 코스요리를 선보였다면 이곳은 랍스터 찜을 중심으로 여러 해산물들을 포함해서 신선한 음식을 맛볼 수 있는 부페식당이다.

 Underground parking lot of Lotte World Mall building is available. Parking fee is 500 won per 10 minutes. The traffic is crowded and Jamsil station of subway lines 2 and 8 is right next to it. It is recommended to use public transportation because you can go directly into the building through subway station and underground passage.

 Vikings Wharf is located on the 4th floor of the Lotte World Mall. It is very big because it is a complex shopping mall like Hanam Starfield which I posted last time, so please look at the guide sign carefully.

 롯데월드 몰 건물 지하주차장 이용이 가능하며 주차요금은 10분에 500원이다. 주변 교통이 혼잡하며 바로 옆에 지하철 2, 8호선 잠실역이 있으며 지하철역과 지하 통로를 통해 건물안으로 바로 이동이 가능하니 대중교통 이용을 추천 드린다. 

 바이킹스 워프는 롯데월드 몰 4층에 있다. 지난 번 포스팅했던 하남 스타필드와 같이 복합 쇼핑몰 형태의 건물이기에 매우 규모가 크니 안내표지를 잘 보고 찾아가야 한다.

 It operates 100% advance reservation system for use. Reservations are accepted one month in advance. For example, if you want to eat on December 24, you have to make a reservation in November. Reservation can be made by phone or on-site. The phone number is 1644-3210.

 100% 예약제로 운영되며 예약은 1달전에 접수를 받는다. 예를 들어 12월 24일에 먹고 싶다면 11월 중에 예약을 해야 한다. 전화예약 또는 현장예약 가능하며 전화번호는 1644-3210 이니 참고하시기 바란다.  

 If you want to have a meal without reservation inevitably, you need to wait in front of the restaurant and restaurant call you once seat is available, however, I don’t recommend it. At least waiting more than 30 minutes is expected and fatigue comes sooner because we do not know when we would be seated. You may be able to enjoy the food more deliciously by making a reservation one month in advance.

 부득이하게 예약 없이 바로 드시고 싶다면 음식점 앞에서 기다리다가 자리가 나면 순서대로 입장을 시키는데 별로 추천 드리지 않는다. 일단 30분 이상 기다릴 것을 예상해야 하며 언제 자리가 날 지 알 수 없는 상황에서 무작정 기다리자니 피로가 더 빨리 찾아온다. 차라리 1달전에 편안하게 예약하고 방문하시는 것이 음식을 더 맛있게 즐길 수 있을 것이다.

 The restaurant fee is considerably high as $100 because it is a buffet restaurant including lobster as main dish. Since much of the food materials are imported from abroad, it is interesting to receive money in USD to minimize the impact of the exchange rate. Please note that payment in US cash is available and when paying in Korean currency, you need to pay the calculated amount at the exchange rate announced on that day. Of course, credit card payment is also possible. I recommend you to go on weekdays because customer hours are 4 hours on weekdays and 2 on weekends. Would it be a good idea to enjoy more with same amount?

 랍스터를 메인으로 하는 부페식당이기에 이용료가 100불로 상당히 비싸다. 식재료의 많은 부분이 해외에서 수입되기 때문에 환율영향을 최소화 하기 위해 USD로 식대를 받는 것이 흥미롭다. 미화 현찰로 지불 가능하며 한화로 결재시에는 그날 고시된 환율로 계산된 금액을 지불해야 하는 점 참고하시길. 물론 신용카드 결재도 가능하다. 이용시간은 평일 4시간 주말 2시간이기 때문에 되도록 평일에 가시는 것을 추천 드린다. 비싼 금액 지불하고 여유 있게 즐기는 것이 좋지 않겠는가.

 The inside of the restaurant is divided into Bar style by type. There are small stores in a large space so it gives us a fresh feeling that you can freely use all the stores using 1 free pass. Below is a place where you can get sushi. You can taste high quality sushi which can be seen at a specialty store.

 음식점 내부는 종류별로 Bar형식으로 구분되어 있다. 큰 매장안에 작은 매장이 들어서 있는 형식인데 자유이용권을 끊고 들어와서 자유롭게 모든 매장을 이용하는 느낌이 신선하다. 아래는 스시를 만들어 주는 곳인데 전문매장에서 볼 법한 고품질의 스시를 맛볼 수 있다.

 The advantage of Vikings Wharf is that the quality of all foods is superlative. Generally, when you use the buffet, you will find that there are many kinds of food, but there are not many kinds of food that you want to eat. It has less kinds of food compared to other places, but the level of all food served including lobster is satisfactory.

 Below is the place where the dessert cakes are displayed and they are from one of the best 3 bakeries in Apgujeong-dong.

 바이킹스 워프의 장점은 모든 음식들의 질이 최상급이라는 것이다. 일반적으로 부페를 이용할 때 아쉬운 점이 음식종류는 많지만 손이 가는 음식은 많지 않다는 것인데 이곳은 음식의 종류는 다른 곳에 비해 적지만 랍스터를 포함하여 제공되는 모든 음식의 수준이 상당이 만족스럽다는 점이다. 

 아래는 디저트 케익을 진열해 놓은 곳인데 압구정 3대 베이커리의 제품을 가져다 놓았다.

 The fruits shown below are not decorative but real ones. If you ask a chef in the store, they will chop it up. Some fruits can be eaten with fresh fruit juice. The fruits look fresh.

 아래 보이는 과일은 장식용이 아니라 실제 먹을 수 있는 것들이다. 매장 안의 조리사에게 요청하면 먹기 좋게 썰어 준다. 몇몇 과일은 생과일 즙으로 먹을 수도 있다. 과일이 신선해 보인다.

 If you order seafood except fish, such as sea cucumbers and sea squirt, the chef will make them as sashimi and bring it to your place.

 해삼, 멍게 등 생선을 제외한 수산물을 여기서 골라 주문하면 살아있는 해산물을 바로 회로 만들어서 자리로 가져다 준다.

 Water and beverages are also prepared as bottles, so when you request, staff take them out and provide to you immediately. Tea is also a branded product called TWG.

 물이나 음료수도 병으로 되어 있어 주문하면 바로 꺼내서 준다. 홍차는 TWG라는 브랜드 제품이다.

 This is similar to a typical buffet restaurant.

 여기는 일반적인 부페식당의 모습과 비슷하다.

 It is a hors d'oeuvre, and it is said to be made with a liver of monkfish.

 전채요리인데 아귀 간으로 만들었다고 한다.

 The main menu here is lobster. It is good to forget that the quality of the buffet restaurant is not good. Various sizes of lobster are served every time I go to get, sometimes, big boss is appeared.

 이곳의 주 메뉴인 랍스터. 부페식당이라고 품질이 나쁠 것이란 생각은 잊어도 좋다. 받으러 갈 때마다 다양한 크기의 랍스터를 주는데 어떨 때는 엄청 큰 놈을 받을 때도 있다.  

 Shrimp and ribs are served in the short-order corner. If you order and take a vibrating bell and eat other food on your table, they cook it and let you know with vibrating the bell.

 새우와 갈비 등 즉석코너에서 제공되는 음식. 주문하고 진동벨을 받아 자리에서 다른 음식을 먹고 있으면 바로 요리해서 진동벨을 울려 알려준다.

 It is a dish in the regular buffet corner, which is seasoned with crab. It has a lot of meat and was delicious.

 일반 부페 코너에 있는 요리인데 크랩을 양념한 것이다. 살이 많고 맛있었다.

 Dessert fruit and cake.

 후식으로 나온 과일과 케잌. 

 We ate coffee and ice cream and seemed to have been here for about three hours. It was a restaurant with a similar price to the hotel buffet but a much better satisfaction. It is a little burden to come usually so it will be a pleasant memory that will be unforgettable when you come with your family on a special day.

 커피와 아이스크림까지 먹으며 이곳에서 약 3시간 정도 있었던 것 같다. 호텔 부페와 가격은 비슷하나 훨씬 만족도가 높은 음식점이었다.

평소에 오기는 부담되고 특별한 날 가족들과 함께 오면 잊지 못할 즐거운 추억이 될 것 같다.
