Star Field(Hanam)_스타필드(하남)

It seems to be about 10 years ago. The complex premium shopping mall that could be seen in the United States began to be created in Korea one by one. Shinsegae, Lotte, etc., have started to build it in the suburbs of Seoul, so now we can find many malls in Korea. Previously, it was monotonous because it was a shopping-oriented building. Nowadays, it has many functions such as shopping, leisure, dining and cultural life, so many people are visiting this place for a weekend outing.

 In relatively recent years, in 2016, Shinsegae opened a shopping mall called Starfield in Hanam city, not far from Donggureung. It consist of many facilities like department stores, restaurants as well as marts, movie theaters, jjimjilbang(Korean dry sauna) and kids' parks.

 10 여년 전부터 인 것 같다. 미국에서나 볼 수 있었던 복합 프리미엄 쇼핑몰이 한국에도 하나 둘 씩 생겨나기 시작했다. 신세계, 롯데 등이 중심이 되어 서울 근교에 하나씩 짓기 시작해서 이제는 꽤 많은 수의 몰을 한국에서도 찾아 볼 수가 있다. 이전에는 쇼핑위주의 건물이라 단조로웠는데 요즘에는 쇼핑, 레저, 외식, 문화생활 등 여러 기능을 가지고 있어 많은 사람들이 주말 나들이 겸 이곳을 찾고 있다.

 비교적 최근인 2016년에 동구릉에서 멀지않은 하남시에 신세계에서 스타필드라는 쇼핑몰을 열었다. 백화점, 음식점 뿐 아니라 마트, 영화관, 찜질방에 키즈파크까지 많은 시설들로 구성되어 있다.  

Hanam Starfield takes 25 minutes by car from Donggureung and 50 minutes from Seoul.

 하남 스타필드는 동구릉에서 승용차로 25분, 서울에서 50분정도 걸린다.

The parking lot is very wide including outdoor, underground and ground parking lots, and parking on weekends may be difficult because many people visit here. I parked in ground parking lot and enter into this building.

 주차장은 야외, 지하, 지상 주차장 등 매우 넓은데 주말에는 많은 사람들이 찾아 주차에 어려움이 있을 수도 있다. 필자는 건물 내 지상주차장에 주차를 하고 들어갔다.

The movie theater comes out. There is a Megabox theater on the fourth floor of Starfield.

 영화관이 나온다. 스타필드 4층에는 메가박스 영화관이 있다. 

I think it is built with a concept similar to the complex shopping mall I saw in US. There are various types of stores on both sides of the wide aisle. The ceiling is opened from the first to the top floor and gives a feeling of openness.

 필자가 미국에 갔을 때 보았던 복합 쇼핑몰과 비슷한 컨셉으로 지은 것 같다는 생각이 들었다. 넓은 통로 좌우로 여러 종류의 매장이 입점해 있으며 1층에서 맨 위층까지는 천정이 개방되어 탁 트인 느낌을 준다.

It is a restaurant called Eatopia and you can see various kinds of restaurants. It is good to stop by because you can taste Korean food as well as foods from various countries.

 Eatopia라는 식당가인데 여러 종류의 음식점들을 볼 수 있다. 한식 뿐 아니라 여러 나라의 음식들을 맛 볼 수 있으니 한 번 들러 보는 것도 좋겠다.

 Electro Mart is a place that sells things that men would like, mainly electronics.

 Electro Mart 라는 곳인데 전자제품을 중심으로 남자들이 좋아할 만한 물건들을 모아 놓고 판매하고 있었다.

Game machines, and R / C cars.

 오락기, R/C Car도 있다.

They also sell clothes and supplies for camping.

 캠핑용 의류 및 용품도 판매한다.

 There are many products that catch my eye as I am also a man. There is also a liquor store in this area, which has many kinds of liquor, and discount products are cheaper than other mart. These are the boxes piled up in the picture below.

 필자도 남자인 만큼 눈이 가는 제품들이 많았다. 이 안에 주류판매점도 있는데 여러 종류의 술들을 많이 구비하고 있으며 할인상품들은 다른 마트보다 저렴하니 참고하도록 하자.  아래 사진에 박스로 쌓아 놓고 있는 것들이다.

I came to Eatopia and ate dinner because I was tired and hungry.

 다리도 아프고 배도 고파 Eatopia로 와서 저녁을 먹었다.

Today's menu is Hong Kong style noodles, dumplings and pizza. Even though the Hong Kong noodle was the first food I ate, it was so delicious with the light taste soup and hard boiled noodles.

 오늘 선택한 메뉴는 홍콩식 누들과 만두 그리고 피자다. 홍콩 누들은 처음 먹어보는 음식이었는데 국물이 담백하고 면발이 꼬들꼬들해서 참 맛이 있었다.

I also visited the food corner in the underground floor of department store.

 백화점 지하의 식품코너도 구경해 보았다.   

Starfield is a very big shopping mall, so you have to invest 1 day to see it all. It is not necessary here. You can visit Korea's complex shopping mall and see one of the current status of Korea. The jjimjilbang is very well equipped, so please refer to it when you visit.

 스타필드는 매우 큰 쇼핑몰이라 전부 둘러보려면 하루 종일 다녀야 한다. 꼭 이곳이 아니더라도 시간적 여유가 있다면 한국의 복합 쇼핑몰을 방문해서 한국의 현재 모습의 단면을 보는 것도 재미있는 구경거리가 될 것이다. 찜질방도 시설이 매우 잘 되어 있으니 방문하실 때 참고하시기 바란다.
