Cafe Brazil at Youngjin Beach_카페 브라질(영진해변, 강릉)

 Korea is a peninsular nation with three sides of the sea. You can see the west sea in a short time from Seoul, and if you take a little more time, you can go to the East Sea which have blue color. You have to cross the Taebaek mountain range in order to see the East Sea, so in the past, it had to cross over the winding Daegwanryeong, Mishiryeong, and it took more than 4 hours by car. But nowadays, the highway has been developed and the tunnel through the mountain ranges was opened so we can go there in 2.5 hours.

 Gangneung is one of the major cities of the East Sea and has several scenic tourist spots. Gyeongpo and Jungdongjin are well known, and Yeongjin Beach, which I will introduce, is famous as a drama called 'Dokkaebi' these days.

한국은 삼면이 바다로 이루어진 반도국가이다. 서울에서 조금만 가면 서해바다를 볼 수 있고 조금만 더 시간을 내면 푸른 바다를 볼 수 있는 동해에 갈 수 있다. 동해바다를 보려면 태백산맥을 넘어가야 해서 예전에는 구불구불한 대관령, 미시령 등을 넘어가야 했으며 차로 4시간 이상 걸렸으나 요즘 고속도로가 발달하고 산맥을 관통하는 터널이 뚫려서 2시간 30분이면 갈 수 있다. 

강릉은 동해의 주요 도시 중 하나로 경치 좋은 관광지를 여러 군데 가지고 있다. 경포대, 정동진 등이 잘 알려져 있으며 필자가 소개할 영진해변은 요즘에 도깨비라는 드라마로 유명해진 곳이다.

 Youngjin Beach takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes by car from Seoul.

 

 영진해변은 서울에서 승용차로 약 2시간 40분 걸린다.

 The beach has parasols because of the summer peak season, and the sunny weather makes the beach even more wonderful.

여름 성수기이기에 해변에는 파라솔이 설치되어 있고 화창한 날씨가 해변을 더욱 그럴듯 하게 해 준다.

 I stopped at one of the cafes on the beach after simply swimming with my family to cool off the heat. It is Caffe Brazil.

 가족들과 간단히 물놀이를 하고 더위를 식힐 겸 해변에 있는 카페 중 한 곳에 들렀다. Caffe Brazil이다.

 It looks like it has just opened and the stylish interior attracts attention.

 생긴지 얼마 안 된 듯 하며 세련된 인테리어가 눈길을 사로잡는다.

 카페 안에서 바라본 밖의 바다풍경. 해변가의 카페 경치는 언제 봐도 멋지다.

 I ordered coffee and beverages and got a table on the second floor. Scenery of the second floor seemed to be better than the first one.

 커피와 음료수를 주문하고 2층에 자리를 잡았다. 1층보다는 2층이 경치가 좋을 것 같았다.

 Relax in the cool cafe overlooking the ocean outside the window. The feeling of the resort area which can be seen in the summer sea is conveyed to the body comfortably.

 시원한 카페에서 느긋하게 창 밖의 바다를 내려다 본다. 여름바다에서 볼 수 있는 휴양지 느낌이 기분 좋게 몸에 전해져 온다.

 Although it has recently become famous thanks to the drama, it is still less crowded than other famous beaches. It seems that it is not a good place for swimming because the water depth suddenly deepens. But I think it will be a good place to dip your feet in the sea in a scenic spot in the summer.

 드라마 덕분에 최근 유명해 졌다고는 하지만 아직 이곳은 다른 유명 해변에 비해 사람이 덜 붐빈다. 수심이 갑자기 깊어져 해수욕하기에 좋은 자리는 아닌 것 같다. 하지만 여름에 경치 좋은 곳에서 바닷물에 발을 담그기에는 한적하고 좋은 장소가 될 것이라고 생각한다.   

 It would be good to take a short break at the café Brazil on the beach during the hot summer seasons.

 

 해변가에 위치한 카페 브라질에서 뜨거운 여름에 잠시 쉬어가는 것도 괜찮을 것 같다.
