Tapgol Restaurant(Palgongsan Mountain, Daegu)_탑골식당(대구 팔공산)

 The dinner time was much late due to the unexpected Gatbawi rock climbing. It was the Tapgol restaurant that I found when I was looking for a place to go for dinner dragging my fatigued body at 7 PM. There were many restaurants at the entrance of the Gatbawi rock climbing route, but I could not see a good place to eat, so I got to here where it takes about 15 minutes by car. The main menu is oak wood barbecue and Smoked Mineral-fed Duck.

 예상치 못한 갓바위 등산 덕분에 저녁식사 시간이 많이 늦어졌다. 7시가 다 되어 지친 몸을 이끌고 저녁식사를 할 만한 곳을 찾다가 발견한 곳이 바로 탑골식당이었다. 갓바위 등산로 입구에도 여러 음식점들이 있었으나 마음에 썩 드는 곳이 보이지 않아 차로 약 15분 걸리는 이곳에 들렸다.  참나무 장작 바베큐와 유황오리 훈제 정식이 메인 메뉴이다.

 The Pagoda Restaurant is located at Mt. Palgongsan, Daegu. It takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes by car from Seoul. It takes about 15 minutes by car from Daegu Gatbawi Rock Public Parking area. If you look for restaurants after climbing Gatbawi rocks, please refer to those. 

 탑골식당은 대구 팔공산에 있으며 서울에서 승용차로 약 3시간 40분 정도 걸린다. 대구 갓바위 공영주차장에서 승용차로 약 15분 정도 걸리니 갓바위 등반 후 음식점을 찾는 분들께서는 참고하시기 바란다.

 Night already fell, and there was a neon sign in the restaurant. If you go up the road to the right of the building a little, there is a large parking lot, so you can use it.

이미 해는 저물어 음식점에도 네온사인이 반짝이고 있다. 건물 우측으로 난 길을 조금 올라가면 넓은 주차장이 있어 그곳에 주차하면 된다.

 The restaurant is adjacent to the Palgongsan Mountain Trail, so it makes a quiet atmosphere and you can feel that it is at the tourist site.

 음식점이 팔공산 등산로에 인접해 있어 고즈넉한 분위기가 관광지에 있음을 실감하게 한다.

 The 1^st floor is used for roasting meat, toilets, etc. Restaurant is on the 2^nd floor. The building next to it is called a café ‘Suda’, and it seemed to run by the Tapgol restaurant. If you use the Tapgol restaurant, you will get a 20% discount. It seems to be a good place to have a cup of tea in an unique atmosphere by decorating the interior with various antique accessories, but the price of coffee is a bit expensive.

 1층은 고기를 굽는 장소, 화장실 등으로 이용되고 있으며 식당은 2층에 있다. 바로 옆 건물이 카페 수다라는 곳인데 탑골식당에서 같이 운영하고 있는 듯 했다. 탑골식당을 이용하면 20%할인해 준다고 한다. 여러가지 엔틱 소품들을 사용해 인테리어를 꾸며 놓아 특이한 분위기에서 차 한잔 하기에 좋은 장소인 듯 하나 커피 등의 가격이 약간 비싼 편이다. 

 It is a good dining restaurant designated by Daegu Metropolitan City.

 대구광역시가 지정한 모범음식점이다.

 The inside of the restaurant is similar to other restaurants selling similar menus, it is made of wood and it is quite wide so it seems to be good for group guests. Some tables have chairs as shown below.

 음식점 내부는 비슷한 메뉴를 파는 다른 음식점과 유사하게 나무를 이용하여 꾸며져 있으며 상당히 넓은 편이라 단체손님들이 이용하기에 좋을 것 같았다. 아래와 같이 의자가 있는 테이블도 있고

 There is also a spacious room so you can use it to suit your taste. We settled into the room to melt our tired body as we climb in the cold weather.

 넓은 방도 있어 취향에 맞게 이용하시면 되겠다. 우리는 추운 날씨에 등산을 하느라 지친 몸도 녹일 겸 방으로 자리를 잡았다.

 There were single and course menu, and the guests seem to choose course menu mostly. I wanted to eat the oak barbecue but ordered a Smoked Mineral-fed Duck to be prepared more quickly because I was so hungry. The last order can be made until 8:30 pm, and every Monday is a regular holiday, so please refer to it when you have a plan to visit.

 메뉴는 단품도 있고 정식도 있는데 손님들은 정식을 많이 이용하는 것 같았다. 필자는 참나무 장작 바비큐 정식을 먹고 싶었으나 너무 배가 고파서 더 빨리 음식준비가 되는 유황오리훈제 정식을 주문했다. 마지막 주문은 오후 8시 30분까지 가능하며 월요일은 정기휴무라고 하니 이용하실 때 참고하시기 바란다.

 My child would also be hungry, but this guy had exhausted all the energy on the Gatbawi and had already gone to the dreamland.

 아이도 배가 고플 텐데 이 녀석은 갓바위에서 모든 에너지를 소진하고 이미 꿈나라로 가 버렸다.

 The food I ordered came out, and I was surprised at the much better combination of food than my expectation. Appearance of this house was not different from normal barbecue restaurant, but each side dish was a "Korea table d’hote" level, so it was delicious enough that there was not any food that did not eat. I may be hungry a lot, but as you can see in the photo below, the side dishes that are put in a nice plate are good. I wanted to wake up my baby to eat together, but didn’t because I thought he would need sleep more than food.

 주문한 음식이 나왔는데 생각보다 깔끔한 구성에 놀랐다. 외관은 일반 바비큐 음식점과 다를 것이 없었는데 반찬 하나하나가 한정식 수준이라 손이 안가는 음식이 없을 정도로 다들 맛있었다. 필자가 많이 배고픈 탓도 있겠지만 아래 사진에서 보시는 것처럼 정갈한 접시에 담겨 나온 반찬들이 먹음직스럽다. 아이를 깨워 먹이고 싶었으나 잠이 더 필요할 것 같아 그냥 두었다.

 Main dish is grilled duck-smoked. In fact, it was not particularly good comparing to the one from other restaurants. Anyway, the flavor of the smoked duck was almost similar each other, so I did not put much weight on it. The dish looks good is also good to eat. The well-grilled duck and the vegetables on top of it made excellent harmony.

 메인 요리인 오리 훈제구이. 사실 이 녀석은 다른 음식점에 비해 특별히 맛있다고 생각되지 않았다. 어차피 훈제오리의 맛은 다 거기서 거기라 특별히 의미를 두진 않았다. 하지만 보기에 좋은 음식이 먹기도 좋다 했던가. 잘 익고 있는 오리고기와 그 위에 얹어져 있는 야채가 조화를 이루어 그럴듯하다. 

 Service of restaurant was good and taste was also splendid. It was a great feeling to be treated well in a quiet atmosphere inside Mt. Palgongsan. I had an unexpectedly tough time on Gatbawi rock, but this delicious dinner seemed to get rid of tired. This is a great place for giving excellent satisfaction comparing to cost so please refer to this if you have a plan to tour near the Mt. Palgongsan.

 음식점의 서비스도 좋고 맛도 훌륭했다. 팔공산 안쪽의 조용한 분위기에서 한 상 잘 대접받고 나오는 기분이 뿌듯했다. 갓바위에서 예상외로 힘든 시간을 보냈지만 맛있는 저녁식사로 하루의 마무리를 하게 되어 피곤함이 싹 가시는 것 같았다. 가격대비 만족감이 훌륭한 곳이니 팔공산 관광을 하실 때 참고하시기 바란다.
