Lana Restaurant_Thai food in Pyeong taek(평택 국제시장 라나 레스토랑)

In the Pyeongtaek international market, restaurants in many countries can be found without difficulty. I visited a restaurant famous for Thai food during this tour.

 Lana Restaurant is not that old house, but the owner is trying to show the local taste of Thailand and receives good reputation from the customers.

 The owner is Korean, and the manager is Thai person. 'Lana' is the northern part of Thailand, and it is also the hometown of the manager.

The Lana restaurant is located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do and takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car from Seoul.

 평택 국제시장에서는 여러 나라의 음식점들을 어렵지 않게 찾아볼 수 있다. 필자는 그 중에서 태국음식으로 유명한 맛집을 찾았다.

 라나 레스토랑은 그리 오래된 집은 아니지만 사장님이 태국현지의 맛을 내기위해 애를 쓰고 있으며 손님들에게 좋은 평가를 받는다고 한다.

사장님은 한국 분이며 지배인은 태국 현지 분이라고 한다. '라나' 는 태국 북부지방의 지명으로 지배인님의 고향이기도 하다.

라나 레스토랑은 경기도 평택에 있으며 서울에서 승용차로 약 1시간 20분 걸린다.

The outside of restaurant looks to be small (This house is registered as the best dining restaurant).

밖에서 보이는 음식점은 좁은 느낌이 들었으나 (모범음식점으로 등록된 집이다.)

 

The inside was considerably larger than I thought. The interior was not refined and looked a bit old.

내부는 생각보다 꽤 넓었다. 인테리어는 깔끔하지는 않고 약간 낡아 보이는 느낌이었다.

I finally got the food ordered ...

Delicious! Interior and tableware are not luxurious, but the food taste is real. Even though I did not have many experience to eat Thai foods, but I could feel each one of them was like real Thai food. I remember that everyone who ate together was satisfied that it was delicious.

Rice noodles has reasonably ripe for deep soup. Curries create unique flavors and savory taste. If you have a plant to travel to Pyeongtaek, I recommend this house for lunch.

맛있다! 인테리어며 식기들이 고급스럽지는 않지만 음식맛 만은 진짜다. 많은 태국음식을 접해 보지는 못했지만 이집의 음식은 하나하나가 진짜 태국음식 같았다. 같이 식사했던 사람들이 모두 맛있다고 만족을 했던 기억이 난다. 

쌀국수는 진한 국물에 적당하게 익은 면발, 카레는 특유의 향과 고소함 등 평택 여행을 하시는 분들은 꼭 한번 들러볼 것을 추천한다.
