 Pyeongtaek is well known as a place where US military bases are stationed along with Yongsan in Seoul. The Yongsan military bases have been gradually reduced in accordance with the transfer plan, and here Pyeongtaek is under development of the relocation site for US troops stationed in Yongsan.

 

 Pyeongtaek International Central Market has developed somewhat differently from traditional markets in other parts of Korea as it supplies goods and food that are necessary for the lives of American troops from old times. It has become an international market that handles food and beverages in many countries around the world.

평택국제 중앙시장은 서울에서 승용차로 약 1시간 20분 걸린다.

국제 중앙시장 공영주차장이 있어 주차가 가능하다. 공간이 넓지는 않지만 이용이 그렇게 불편하지도 않다.

주차장 앞을 나서면 국제시장을 나타내는 간판이 있어 찾기가 그렇게 어렵지는 않다.

 안으로 들어가 보면 전통시장과는 조금 다른 모습들을 볼 수 있다. 우선 영어로 된 간판이 눈에 많이 띄고

 수입물품을 파는 가게들도 어렵지 않게 찾아볼 수 있다.

If you go to the main street, you can see many stores on both sides of vehicle-free promenade.
